Practice Exam Instructions

The object of this Practice Exam is to determine the areas where extra study may be required. The successful completion of this exam does not, in any way, imply a passing score on the official certification exam. This Practice Exam is designed as a learning tool.

A series of multiple choice questions are presented to you. Click the answer you feel is best then press Submit. Whether you correctly or incorrectly answer the question, the next question is presented. Use the "Back" Web browser button if you want to return to an earlier question. Use Shift-Reload to start over. Selecting no answer, then pressing the submit button will skip the current question and proceed to the next.

When a question is answered incorrectly, a window appears with text that advises you that the answer selected is incorrect. It also provides you with a brief explanation of the correct answer and provides an optional link to the section in the redbook study guide on that topic. Reqesting the redbook information opens a new browser window.

You can read the referenced information in the study guide in a separate window, and then continue with the test.

Each time a question is missed, an explanation with a link to the topic in the guide is provided (so you can learn as you complete the test). Each incorrect answer opens another window, so various topics can be located and additional reading completed after the end of the exam.

Currently, this tool does not "score" the final results. An interactive learning approach is the key objective behind this tool (not a "score").
